Amber Guild

CEO, McCann New York

Amber Guild has served as the CEO of McCann New York since early 2023, and was appointed to the role because of her incredible track record of leading meaningful transformations and subsequent growth in the Advertising, Marketing, Media and Publishing industries for over 25 years.

In less than a year, Amber’s impact on the flagship office has been remarkable – instilling a new diverse executive leadership team (70% female, 50% people of color) who are united in their passion for creative excellence, industry innovation, and leading through the lens of belonging, equity and inclusion. Together, the team has reshaped the organization for agility, launched a content studio, a design practice and reinvented their audience and connection disciplines. Not to mention, became the 2023 top awarded NY agency in Cannes.

Her robust career in the creative industry has spanned publishing, advertising, design, and digital working for companies such as The New York Times, Grey, Ogilvy, T3 and COLLINS, where she helped lead her clients to innovate at the intersection of culture, media and technology. This experience has only strengthened her belief that the multifaceted creativity needed for brands to have a profound impact on the world will only come from building a creative workplace that is inclusive, equitable and diverse.

Recognized for her creative and innovative leadership, Amber was recently named Campaign’s class of ‘24 Most Inspiring Women Leading the Charge, has been recognized as Ad Age’s “Women to Watch,” received the Publishers Award from The New York Times, and has appeared on The Today Show.

Amber has been invited to sit on multiple boards, including the 4A’s, SATURDAY MORNING, 3% Movement, and VCU Brandcenter, and is a founding member of CHIEF. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Women’s Studies and graduated cum laude from Boston University.

However, Amber’s most important roles and accomplishments in her life come from being a mother of two, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a friend.
