Former Global President of Warner Music Experience
Maria Weaver is a transformational leader and change-maker with a proven track record in the entertainment industry. As the former Global President of Warner Music Experience (WMX), she led significant P&L growth, unified global acquisitions, and rebranded WEA to WMX, positioning the company to capitalize on emerging trends. She oversaw Warner Music Group’s consumer brands, direct-to-fan and merchandising operations, and the creation of content for major artists like Lizzo, Cardi B, Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy and more.
Previously, Maria served as Chief Marketing Officer at Comcast Advertising, where she built a powerful international marketing organization and spearheaded the rebranding of Comcast Spotlight to Effectv. She also launched Mnemonic, a creative agency, and created the Comcast RISE program to support Black-owned small businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maria co-founded Interactive One, the digital division of Urban One, overseeing marketing and digital ad sales. She also co-founded Triple Threat Films, producing award-winning projects, and held senior roles at HBO, where her marketing strategy contributed to the success of shows like The Wire.
Recognized on Billboard’s Power List and named one of Variety’s Women of Impact, Maria has won numerous Telly Awards across Warner, Comcast, and Interactive One. She serves on the board of The Frederick Douglass Family Initiative and previously served on boards such as Figure Skating in Harlem and She Runs It. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts from Pace University and a Master of Professional Studies from Pratt Institute.
